If a Windows 10 HP Elite has the BSOD with error ‘WDF
Violation’ it may be caused by a corrupt HP keyboard driver. Use the Windows
Recovery Console to open a Command Prompt. Navigate to the ‘System32\Drivers’
folder and rename the HP keyboard driver file ‘hpqkbfiltr.sys’ to something
else. Reboot the PC and run Windows updates to confirm that the file is not
reinstalled.
